Many people don’t like to do MLM 1-on-1. That’s why I personally like “direct response network marketing”. It gives you the opportunity automate your marketing – and let websites, blogs, sales letters, teleseminars, webinars, etc. do the selling for you.

Hey Steven,
SRDS is a good place to look. The only challenge there is that there’s a cost to access that info (unless your local library has a copy). I used to subscribe, but I can now access those contacts through other sites for research.
A great resource is NextMark.com. 1,000′s of mailing list datacards. I could spend hours searching and researching lists. (Yes, I’m a direct response nerd.)
Another place to look would be companies that handle bizop and home business mailing lists. These include:
http://www.macromark.com (my list broker/rep)
http://www.megamediaassociates.com (Stuart Cogan knows the market – and he’s been around FOREVER.
)
http://www.dajdirect.com
Those are the main ones. They have datacards on their sites.
Another challenge: Bizop sellers keep their cards close to the vest – so some of these datacards do not identify the actual company. In some cases they do, so it’s definitely worth checking out.

Jeff, I think you’ll agree that the quality of the strategy that a business owner is following to make his/her business successful often can mean the difference between success and failure. In your video you have put forth a very important principle for network marketers to always keep in mind, namely, the quality of the prospects you have to work with. You have given us a great strategy for maximizing that quality, one that I doubt I would have ever thought of myself. Thanks for sharing that!
However . . .
There’s one little piece of the puzzle you left out (correct me if I’m wrong). That being, how does one go about identifying and/or finding these companies you speak of? I can think of a few of them, the real big ones that most network marketers are familiar with. What would be cool is if I knew how to find the lesser-known ones. What say you Jeff?

This is where being knee deep in your industry is absolutely key.
For example, I subscribe to every home-business and network marketing publication. I even get a lot of the smaller 5,000 and 1,000 circulation mail order tabloids. Each issue is filled with 100′s of these types of companies. I may not get to do business with all of them, but I only need a few to make this concept very profitable. (For example, I used this concept with one company – and generated over $2 million in sales. So you don’t have to work with dozens of companies for this to be profitable.)
Secondly, I’m on a bunch of mailing lists, because I buy stuff for research. And buyers get mailed again and again. That’s great, because that means the companies I want to do business with (the ones who are actively marketing) are sending ME their contact information. That eases the work right up.
Plus, I can search Clickbank’s marketplace for companies selling “work from home” or “home business” products.
And on and on.
There’s so many people to work with – because the “make money from home” niche is so vibrant and alive. And that’s because of the demand.

P.S. It does take time and energy to search, contact, and find someone to work with. But as I mentioned before, one company made me $2M. If you look at each person/company you contact as a potential multi-million dollar windfall, you’ll discover you’re highly motivated to keep searching for those you can partner with.
